Making Strides Against Breast Cancer In Ventura, California

VenturaThis past year over 230,000 women were be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer and that number is rising as time goes on. On August 18th, 2012 the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk, sponsored by the American Cancer Society, will honor those who have lost their battle to breast cancer as well as raise money and awareness for others who will face this fight. The goal is to save lives by reducing the occurrences of this disease.

This powerful event has raised over millions of dollars in the past to aid in beating this disease. For people currently dealing with breast cancer these funds help provide useful information and daily support. With continued success the American Cancer Society will help provide the funding needed to conduct extensive research that will lead to a better understanding of breast cancer and how to beat it.

The 2012 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk will take place at Harbor Cover Beach at 8:00 A.M. There is no registration fee associated with this event.
